New Amazon Kindle Fire HDX to be equipped with Snapdragon 805 processor for better performance

After a good business with the Kindle Fire HDX we recently came to know that the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX is all set to be updated with a newer and faster Snapdragon 805 processor. Amazon recently made a good reputation in the mobile market with their latest Fire Phone. But the Fire Phone is not the only one with high end specification of hardware. According to the Antutu database, the Kindle Fire HDX will also be revamped with new hardware that is supposed to make the device smoother and lightning fast. The new hardware changes are supposed to take the device to a higher level with performance in consideration.

Upgrading hardware of devices is not a new move of tech giants. In fact it has become a trend to upgrade the specifications of hardware and software of their flagship over the time in the gadget industries these days. So, why should Amazon lack behind? The released Antutu database revealed that the new version of Amazon Kindle Fire HDX will be updated with a 2.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 SoC processor and a much better Adreno 420 GPU for the graphics. This a huge update is supposed to make noticeable changes of performance compared to the current version of Amazon Kindle Fire HDX which runs on a Snapdragon 800 SoC processor and the fairly common Adreno 330 GPU.
With these changes the new device is expected to be much faster than its current version. It has been revealed that the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 2014 version will sport a larger 8.9 inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 which is sure to give a crisp and clear display. Also there will be 2GB RAM and 8 MP primary camera on board with a 1 MP front secondary camera from which we do not expect any good quality pictures though but it should suffice for decent video chat. Other specs were about remain the same as the current version, however it has been rumoured that it will come with the latest Android Kitkat 4.4.4 out of the box. Although there is no news about when the updated new Amazon Kindle Fire HDX with Snapdragon 805 processor will be released but based on intuitions it will probably be out by the end of this year.

Is this how the new Amazon Kindle Fire looks ?

Finally we were able to get a pic of the new Amazon Kindle Fire, the Android powered tablet which is expected to be out by next week. Also we have been able to know that the Amazon Kindle Fire new tablets will be coming in two sizes – one in 7 inches and other which will flaunt a 10 inch screen. However, there are no reports about whether the two models will be released at the same date or not. Also, we are not sure about which model is the one in the picture shown below. But the keyboard size suggests it to be the one with 7 inch display.

The original parent Kindle Fire was known to be based on OMAP4 reference design. But the new Amazon Kindle Fire seems that it got a fresh custom design. Although the design doesn’t seem to be very appealing which means Amazon is trying to stick to a simple but unique look. A picture of the back of new Amazon Kindle Fire is not available, so at the moment it’s not possible to tell whether there will be any rear camera or not. Also it doesn't seem that Amazon is trying to produce extraordinary and cheap tablets at the moment. However, we expect that the new Amazon Kindle Fire will be trimmed as much as possible.

Update: Although the above picture of the new Amazon Kindle Fire as we know is from Amazon but other statements from some other sources revealed the following, "That picture you guys posted is not the new Kindle Fire. I know because I have held the new Kindle Fire in my hand and played with it for extensive periods of time... the bezel on the new Kindle Fire is wider. It has sloping sides like the old Motorola Xoom, so it sits nicely in the hand."

So, it now raised the question as to whether the picture is genuine or not. But we can assure that the picture is genuine (may be of a unfinished prototype) as we have received it from authentic sources. Next week everything will be cleared when the new Amazon Kindle Fire is released.

The Hunger Games topped by exceeding Harry Potter sales in Amazon

Amazon has reported that The Hunger Games trilogy authored by Suzzane Collins has surpassed the sales record of seven part series of Harry Potter by J.K.Rowling. The editorial director of books and Kindle at Amazon, Sara Nelson has stated that no doubt Harry Potter made a huge sale in a decade since it was first published but The Hunger Games series which made its entry in 2008 has broken the sale record of Harry Potter series recently, making it the most purchased book in Amazon.

It is to be noted that this book has only three parts compared to seven volumes of Harry Potter and in order to achieve this success it is undoubtedly the popularity and sharing of positive reviews have played a charm. Also the sales of Amazon Kindle eBook readers have hiked over the time and as a result the high growth in the sale of The Hunger Games is largely contributed by the purchase of the digital copy of the book or eBook to read in eBook readers like Amazon Kindle.

A point to be added that, a sale of a book is greatly increased when a film is released in its title. Same was the case with Harry Potter as well as The Hunger Games; the movie of the title was released earlier in 2012 which was able to bring in a gain of $700 million from around the globe.
