New AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens has been released


AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens has finally been released by the digital camera mega brand Nikon last week. This one is claimed to be the world's first interchangeable DSLR lens. It has currently got the highest zoom ratio of 16.7x which is DX format compatible. This lens undoubtedly promise of providing better and higher quality pictures.
The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, as the name says comes with a focal length of 18-300mm and 16.7x zoom ratio. This feature allows to capture wide angle to super-telephoto with the same lens. Technically it joins the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II and the AF-S DX NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR which enhances the line up of this high power zoom lens.

With this lens one can achieve a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:3.2x. It also has the vibration reduction (VR II) feature. In telephoto mode it is possible to get the maximum aperture of f/5.6. This new lens also features SWM or Silent Wave Motor which helps in extremely quiet autofocusing. Other feature includes M and M/A focus modes. With ED and aspherical lens elements the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens offers sharp and superior quality images with optimal performance.
