Digitimes has revealed more information about the early December announcement of Tim Cook, that the production unit of Apple Mac will be moved to US in 2013 and which have about $100 million involved. However earlier reports said that both Mac Pro and Mac Mini will be produced in US, but now it has been clarified that only the production unit of Mac Mini will be shifted to the United States. Also it has been reported that Foxconn will take the charge of the production of Mac Mini in US.
Previously reports were out about the location of production by Foxconn. The advantage of the site is that it is believed hiring will surely increase the production to an ample amount. As most units in the production plant is automated so it is believed that the sales will rise upto 1.8 million in the coming year. Although there is enough reports about the site of the production plant but still the locations of assembled iMac originating in US can't be determined till now.
Last day Digitimes also reported that the shipment of iPad Mini are expected to touch about 8 million units in the fourth quarter. Presently 10-12 million units are in stock, but due to limited supply of touch screen there has been some holding up for now.
