Nokia Windows RT tablet to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February 2013

Nokia Windows RT tablet is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress that will be held on the month of February 2012. Earlier there were reports that Nokia is working on their first ever tablet based on Windows. However, there was no solid details about their act. But the scenario is about to change in the Mobile World Congress. As reported by DigiTimes, Microsoft, Qualcomm and Compal Electronics has resumed there work and the development of the Windows 8 based Nokia tablet is on progress.

The rumors about the Nokia Windows RT tablet originally emerged earlier this year. The reports said that the company was opting for dual-core Qualcomm SoC and the initial shipment was reported to be about 200,000 units. It was also reported the cause behind the delay of launching the tablet goes to the unveil of Microsoft Surface tablets which was launched few months ago. But current reports says that Nokia is back to work and the tablet will be available on display on the event of Mobile World Congress.

However, it still remains a rumor until any further press release from the company. But if the reports were true then unveiling the tablet on the eve of Mobile World Congress does makes a lot of sense. At the moment the Nokia Windows RT tablet specifications are not available. We will definitely write about the specification as soon as we get hold of the information. It has also been reported that AT&T planning to stock tablets next year and which might be the expected 'soon to be unveiled' Nokia Windows RT tablet.

How to download Windows 8 for testing?

Windows 8 has been released and the good thing is that before purchasing it you can simply download Windows 8 for testing purpose and I will tell you how to do so. The computers that are running on Windows XP, Vista or 7 can now be easily upgraded to Windows 8 Pro edition for a amount of $39.99 only (which is equivalent to Rs. 1,999 in India). To do so all you have to do is head over to the Microsoft Windows site and follow the instructions given over there. The prices as we came to know from sources will remain as such till January, 2013. The current prices of Windows 8 Pro for testing purposes are reasonable and is a good option to get a copy now.

It is to be noted that prior to the official launch of Windows 8, there was a preview edition available for free. But after the launch it had been taken down by Microsoft and instead this new option to download Windows 8 for testing has been put up. You will be able to enjoy all the features of Windows 8 for a period of 90 days with this new option.

In other words if you wish to try the Windows 8 before making a purchase, the best option is to obtain the 90 days trail version from msdn.microsoft.com . But one thing that is to be noted is that these are merely evaluation copies with a validity of 90-days. So if you are planning to download Windows 8 for testing, to be on the safe side create a bootable Windows 8 DVD from the evaluation ISO files or you can set them up in dual-boot environment but the option is to set up a virtual machine.

Windows 8 Skype design is far better than the Apple iPad design

Windows 8 Skype design has been leaked and it seems to be much more appealing than what is in the Apple iPad. Microsoft has finally proved its superiority in case of design compared to others. Skype for non-metro has finally managed to match the tile design of the Windows 8 OS but also made the iOS version of the same app look much like a baroque.

The image of the Windows 8 Skype design has been revealed through twitter by the IT developer AdamUCF. The app not only looks cool but also it has been able to leave the iPad Skype design far behind the race. Also, it is to be noted that the Apple Mac Skype design has always been lagging behind compared to the other PC versions of the same application.

But as Skype has joined hands with Microsoft and how is a team of it, does it means Skype is infusing hatred towards the Apple iOS and Mac users? But, in this battle it should also be noted that Apple has also been torturing Microsoft with its iTunes as well. Is new Skype design for Windows 8 just a payback? But for the current topic the Windows 8 Skype design undoubtedly surpasses the iPad design in all aspects.
