Delisted iOS app Clueful is back and free for download now

Clueful is a privacy enhancing iOS app that was delisted within a month from the App Store. But now one can get Clueful free for download in their webpage. The app has data of about more than 100,000 iOS apps. It enables the users to add comment about the app and also how the data are being handled by the developers.
Apple is strict in screening apps for bad behavior. But Clueful is the app that gives information about the activity of the other iOS apps. That is what the other apps are actually doing with the data, for example whether the data is used to track user location or read contacts, access the calendar or just drains the battery. These are some of the little information that Clueful gives about a app running in the device.

When the app was launched in App Store it was sold for $3.99 but soon after its launch Apple has removed it from the site within a month. However, Apple didn’t give any specific reason about why Clueful was removed from the App Store. Also Catalin Cosoi, Chief Security Researcher of BitDefender declined to comment about its removal from the App Store. According to Bitdefender about 40 per cent of iOS app tracks the user location, 20 per cent have access to address book and 60 per cent encrypts data they collect. Concerned about the demand of the security conscious iOS device users, Clueful has been released, this time free of cost which can be downloaded from the official website of Clueful
